The folllowing two figures are semi-log plots of average city MPGs /average highway MPGs vs. number of cylinders. The size of bubble is proportinal to the number of cylinders.
Scene 2: Both the average city MPG/highway MPG plots suggest that an automobile with a higher number of cylinders tends to have a lower MPG, suggesting that it is less fuel efficient. In addition, electric cars, with zero cylinders, are with the highest MPGs. However, customers still need to consider other factors including size, easy access to gas stations and financial reasons. The 4-cylinder gasoline category enjoys the highest number of car brands. More details on comparing fuel efficiency of those cars will be shown in next scene.
